I get completely lost in the painting and love to work on sunflower piecesI sketch out the design loosely in pencil, then start layering in the petals with underglaze in yellow, orange and brown. Next I slip trail a black outline to add some detail and dimension to each flower. The scratchy orange texture on the base is a nice contrasting pattern. Each piece is individually crafted and painted by hand, making it uniquely its own.
This tray measures approximately 6" x 6" x 0.5" and is as functional as it is charming:

Glaze is food safe, ok to use in microwave or dishwasher. But to protect and maintain finish and surface decoration, hand washing is best.
