Handmade from white stoneware clay and thrown on the pottery wheel, this Mug features an original illustration drawn directly onto the surface and painted with underglaze. A slip-trailed flower and leaf motif adds gentle dimension, while fine hand-carved mishima details bring extra texture and character. The raised slip-trailed lines create a subtle tactile sensation—it’s a piece that feels as lovely in the hands as it looks.
This design was inspired by the zinnias I plant by my mailbox every summer. Their big, softball-sized blooms in every color always make me smile, and over the past winter I found myself sketching them again and again. Translating those drawings onto my pottery means these cheerful flowers can be enjoyed all year long.

Glaze is food safe, ok to use in microwave or dishwasher. But to protect and maintain finish and surface decoration, hand washing is best.
