This watercolor and gouache piece is a little snowy world you can wander into. The tiny village is tucked between soft, rolling hills, with pastel houses that look like they’re keeping each other warm. Up in the mountains, ski lifts climb through the powdery blues, and tiny skiers carve their own winding paths down the slopes. Snowflakes drift across the sky in all kinds of geometric shapes. If you look closely, there are sweet little surprises everywhere: rabbits hopping through the snow, birds perched on trees, a couple of snowmen hanging out. It’s the kind of winter day that feels both totally calm and full of small, magical things happening all at once.
